Emily Cook
Movement has been the core of Emily’s life since she started dancing and downhill ski racing at age 3. She participated in the usual sports and performances throughout her formative years. Her love for movement and the outdoors brought her to Montana. In 2001, Emily graduated from Montana State University with a bachelor’s degree in Health Enhancement and a minor in Dance. While attending college Emily was introduced to Pilates and became instantly addicted, attending as many classes as she could. She found that Pilates gave her a newfound confidence and control over her body, like no other physical activity had before. A teacher by nature, Emily realized she wanted to share her new found passion with others, so she obtained her certification in 2006 through Peak Pilates. She has been teaching and training at Peak Bodies since 2006. Working at Peak Bodies with its highly qualified instructors has allowed Emily a positive environment to continue her Pilates training. Emily continues to be intrigued by the ever-deepening layers of the Pilates method, and thinks everyone should try it! When she is not teaching Pilates you can find her in the mountains hiking, biking or skiing with her daughter and her husband. Emily teaches mat and reformer classes, as well as individually.
